The leading European provider of secure desktop management solutions attracts an experienced UK and EMEA IT security specialist as the manager of its newly opened UK subsidiary.

Sophia – Antipolis (France), 11 April 2006 – Criston Software, the leading European provider of secure desktop management solutions, today announced the appointment of Mark Peters as UK & Ireland Country Manager.

“Mark brings us 15 years of experience in taking to market new IT solutions both in the UK and in continental Europe”, said Marc Vaillant, CEO of Criston. “His knowledge of both markets and technology will be invaluable to build our success in this strategic market”.

An MBA graduate from Bath management school, Mark was previously responsible for building the indirect business across EMEA for Surfcontrol plc, Europe’s leading web and email Security Company.

Prior to this, Mark ran the UK and Ireland operation of Websense, the world’s largest enterprise web filtering company. In 2000 he created Europe’s first web based IT portal following a successful VC funding exercise netting $24 million dollars.
